Upcoming Tariffs: What They Mean and How May Affect You

As the new year unfolds, we are expecting to see the US implement tariffs on imported products from multiple countries and this will affect almost every industry, including Oral Health.

As most gloves are made in China, we expect price increases across many manufacturers. However, our Nitrident and Patient Armor Gloves are made in Malaysia, which won't be subject to these tariffs. Many glove manufacturers may shift to Malaysia, but overall, glove prices are still expected to rise due to supply and demand. Fortunately, we don't expect price increases to be as high as during the pandemic.

Along with the tariffs on gloves, other products that are manufactured in China such as retainer boxes, masks, tray covers, etc., are also expected to increase in price. Although we are expecting prices to rise this year across all manufacturers, here at Amtouch, we strive to keep our pricing as low as possible for our customers. To save your practice as much money as possible, we recommend stocking up before the tariffs hit. This way, you will be able to take advantage of supplying your office with its essentials and saving as much as possible.
